The skeleton was found in a medieval burial of plague victims. Researcher Matteo Borrini of Florence University linked the find to the popular belief that vampires spread the disease, when chewed own shroud. Small brick had to stop it.

Borrini believes that his team discovered the skeleton may be the first discovery of its kind that will be studied criminologists. His American counterpart Peer Moore-Jensen argues that found similar skeletons in Poland, and in spite of the importance of finding the claim to be the first vampire skeleton is ludicrous.

In addition to the room a solid object in the mouth or under the chin suspected vampirism, in the Middle Ages were common measures such as body piercing, or heart of the deceased, placing his neck in a sickle or burying his face.

Professor Pier Moore Jensen rightly remarked that the grave "vampires" are not something something extraordinary. Such burials were in Poland already in the 19th century. The first photo is a nail-pierced skull found in 1870 near the city of Radom (Mazovia).

In recent years, archaeologists have discovered the tomb vampires interesting. The first two pictures is a pair (male and female) with the cut off heads of local Koldus, the third picture is the finding in Radom where archaeologists found the cemetery richly equipped graves (amber jewels and gold). Body buried people were bound with belts, and then pridavilennye stones.
