Treatise on vampires.

In 1616, the Italian scientist Louis Fatinelli (Ludovico Fatinelli) published his "Treatise on Vampires" in which he suggested that vampirism was caused by microscopic pathogens. For this, he was burned at the stake for heresy. Fortunately, science does not stand still and move forward. The information presented below is the result of countless works of scientists and doctors.

Virus.
Source vampirism is a virus Human Vampiric Virus (HVV). He's like rabies, belongs to a group - Mononegavirales, which affects the negative RNA genes. Viruses of this group have different shapes. For example, in the nature of the source of the virus is the flea, which is often found in caves, especially where live bats. After being bitten by fleas that bats become a distributor of the virus through the bite and infect animals and humans. In theory, virus infection Human Vampiric Virus, can be transmitted through any exchange of bodily fluids. Although nearly every case, transmission to humans occurs through the bite.

Stage of disease.
Step One: Infection. A few hours after the bite, the person develops a headache, fever, chills and other flu-like symptoms, as the body tries to fight off the infection. These symptoms can be easily confused with more common viral infections, although the presence of a bite - a sign of the body is usually enough to confirm the diagnosis. This stage usually lasts from six to twelve hours. On the micrograph shows the virus and infected cells.

Stage Two: Coma. After 24 hours of being bitten man slowly goes into a coma. During this stage, the pulse slows, breathing is shallow and the pupils dilated. Because of this, a lot of people mistakenly buried alive, and that gave rise to the myth that vampires sleep in coffins. In theory it is assumed that all those who have been infected with Human Vampiric Virus turns into a vampire, but in reality only a small percentage of people could survive a coma. As a rule, the young, the old and the weak never come out of a coma and eventually died. The vast majority of people who survived after the coma were men aged 18 to 35. Pictured - 1800 France, infected women received a blood transfusion, in vain, desperate measure to prevent the disease.

Step Three: Transformation. If a person survives after the coma or during the drinks of the blood of another vampire, he completely transformed himself. During this period, a person's head in confusion, which is characterized by sadness and paranoia. Most vampires begin to hunt within 24 hours from the moment of transformation. The figure shows the mass burial of victims infected vampires.

A vaccine for the virus.
In the course of infection, vaccine efficacy leaves 100 percent. With the introduction of the vaccine in the second stage efficiency of 50 percent, and the longer the victim was in a coma, the less effective the vaccine. The vaccine is not used at the beginning of the third stage.
